How to Start Training When You Feel Stuck

By No Limits Coaching · Updated Oct 16, 2026 · 2 min read

Starting is the hardest part. If you feel stuck, you are not lazy and you are not alone: most people stop because their first plan was too big, not because they lack motivation.

Start smaller than you think

Choose one action you can repeat even on your worst day. Three short sessions a week, a 20-minute walk after lunch, a glass of water before every meal. The goal of week one is not results, it is showing up.

Make the plan visible

Write your sessions in your calendar like any other appointment. A plan that lives only in your head is easy to skip. A plan with a time and a place is much harder to ignore.

Track one thing

You do not need ten metrics. Pick one: sessions completed, steps, or hours of sleep. Looking back at a full week of ticks is a stronger motivator than any quote.

Expect a bad day

Every journey has days when nothing goes to plan. When it happens, do the smallest version of your session and move on. Consistency is built by the days you did not feel like it.

Ask for support

Training alone is possible, but training with a team is easier. Our coaches and community are here to help you adjust the plan when life gets in the way.
